About

Sandbach is a market town in Cheshire next to Junction 17 on the M6 motorway.

The Footpath Group was formed in October 2015 to preserve and improve the footpaths in and around the town and this website records the progress of the group. The page entitled “Minutes” displays the minutes of the meetings held so far.

A constitution has been drafted and can be seen or downloaded by clicking here:

Sandbach Walking Festival 2021
We have a 9-day Walking Festival, starting Saturday 26th June and running to Sunday 4th July 2020 inclusive. Walks will be easy, short, medium and long, including some without stiles, taking in most of the public rights of way in the local Cheshire countryside, the canal, the flashes, the riversides, the Town history, the trees, birds, flowers and nature along the way. Some walks will include a pub or teashop and some will be themed events.
